Just picked up an '86 25LJ with some issues and I need to get at the steering bracket. I'd rather not yank the powerhead just yet, but it looks like I can remove the head, lower cowling and upper shaft as one unit by unbolting the upper motor mounts from the steering bracket horns, and removing the entire lower mount at the base of the steering tube? Is that correct? I have a manual but it's not really clear on what else is attached.
