I just purchased a xp200 Evinrude the a VRO system. My question is can I remove the VRO fuel/oil pump and replace it with a std fuel pump and premix? If so were does the pump mount?

The answer to your question is yes, and hopefully others will post with specific advice on how to do it.

Before you decide though, take a look at

http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/VRO.html

It is the same information that is provided in the VRO FAQ here on iboats, but formatted easier to read and an excellent graphic diagram of the VRO pump.

Speaking as one who premixed for years for a large V6 with built in tanks, I'm looking forward to using my "new" engine that has VRO2 and I plan to do the maintenance and testing and avoid the hassle of premixing (I hope to at least).

Thanks for the great link. But is there a place on the motor to put a std fuel pump?

I just did my 40 hp today. Of course it may be different on a 140 ,but there are three holes just to the right of the starter motor. The two outside holes are for mounting the pump and the middle hole ,that will be pluged with a bolt ,is vacuum port ,to run the pump.
