86 johnson 6hp fuel pump problems PLEASE HELP!

Hello everybody. I just got an 86 6hp johnson which needed the carb cleaned out. Got the carb cleaned good and runs fine when pour fuel directly into the carb through the inlet. So since the carb was all gunked up i figured id clean out the fuel filter and pump as well. I purchased a fuel pump rebuild kit and it came with no instructions or anything. Ive been looking for anything that could help me for hours and hours..literally..but could not find one thing. If anybody could help it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!, Kyle.
