86 Johnson 140

Ok the carbs are rebuilt and its running good except for a slight pops and a little miss on full throttle. Does anyone have any ideas? What would cause this? It runs great till the last 1/8 throttle.

Howdy Json.<br /><br />My guess is that your carbs are not properly synchronized with each other or the ignition.<br /><br />The adjustment procedure is in your manual and is called "Link 'n' Synch."<br /><br />Good luck.

Check the position of the throttle butterflys at wide open. If they are perfectly straight or going past center you might try adjusting the stop. <br /><br />As JB says, the correct deal is in the book. It's amazing how valuable that thing can be.<br /><br />And make sure to always run the air box ON!<br /><br />Good luck!
