'86 25XD w/WMC-11 Carburator Issues

When priming gas into the carb the bulb no longer gets "hard"... gas starts to flow out of carb throat and small hole (just right of gas line) shown on the photo. I am wondering what I need to buy to remedy the problem. I am capable of putting in a carb kit, float, etc.. would be interested to hear from you if you can lead me in the right direction.

Hello you probably have a stuck float or dirty needle valve. to rebuild it is fairly easy make sure you get the kit that has all the gaskets including the fuel pump and primer gaskets give it a good cleaning and put it back together. Be careful in the primer there is a small and check ball in there

Thank you, that sounds like a good place to start. I thought it may be float related so I removed the carb and tested the float open/close by inverting the carb while blowing air into the fuel intake. That checked out fine so I remounted the carb and it still had the same issue as before.
