After some long trial and error, I got the beast running a few weeks ago. It seems to run great, so I've spent the last couple of weekends changing bilge pumps and thru-hulls.

A friend came over to have a peek at things, and I had the engine cover off and was too lazy to climb up into the boat to start it up, so I unplugged the big red connector on the engine and jumped it with a screwdriver.

One of the female terminals from the plug pulled right out of the red plug !!!
Even after pushing it back in, the engine will not run with the key ( I know I have a broken wire inside the plug now).

I'm in need of the wiring diagram for the plug so I can bypass the plug with another wire, and hopefully launch today.

I really dont want to tear all the wires out of the plug, the only way to do that is to destroy the plug.

Anybody have a diagram? I cant find one in my manual.

Islander,

I have a wiring diagram for my 86 Johnson 225. do you know if they
are the same?

If so I'll scan it.

Thanks Angler, they are the same.

I just need the wire placement in the plug. The darn thing is not made to come apart
