85model 115 evinrude won,t turn off

thanks people for having an excellent site.. the problem i got is i just bought a boat with a evinrude 115 v4 that won,t turn off completly what happens is it runs on all four cylinders when the key is on but when i turn the key off it still runs but only on two cylinders, turn the key back on, back on to four cylinders again , i can only stop it buy taking the drivers side plug leads off<br />if some has a wiring diagram or knows how to fix it please let me know<br />any help will be most appreciated<br />thankyou lee

Locate the black yellow on the power pack, ground this wire, engine still runs, replace that power pack, engine stops check black yellow wire for open.

Also check all plug-in connectors. I had the same thing happen once and it ended up being one of the pins, in a plug-in connector to one of the power packs was bent and wasn't getting plugged in right. Start with the side that keeps running.
