85hp Suziki trim oil leak

I noticed fluid had been leaking from the center piston. I then tilted it up and down a few times and noticed it was flowing out pretty good while it was moving up and down. then it ran out of fluid and the motor won't go up now. So, I have a few questions. 1. Where can I find a schematic of this piston? 2. Where can I find the parts I need? I can't find anything for the hydrolics, only the motors.
3. Most importantly, about how much would it cost to have my mechanic fix it? Thanks, any input is appreciated.

Check BrownsPoint.com They have parts breakdowns for all the various Suzuki outboards. I hope it's not one of the obsolete trim/tilt parts. I do know all the seals are still available. The big problem is getting the trim/tilt cylinder caps off to service the cylinders.

That was very helpful. Thank you. Is there anything else I should know before trying to undertake this repair?

Well, you will have to order the correct spanner from Suzuki. I bought 2 different ones and tried a score of others. There was no way that I could get the caps off my trim cylinders. On top of that, the pistons ( I needed one) have been obsoleted. I believe that they are torqued to 85 foot pounds Once you mess up the holes in the caps, you are basically screwed!!I finally bought a complete used assembly from Ebay. I have yet to have time to install it. Good luck with your project.

Thanks for all your help. I think I'm going to let the dealership fix it. They sound pretty confident they can fix it. I'm scared I will mess up something and have to replace the entire unit.
