'85 Merc 25xd battery connections?

I have an '85 Merc 25XD that came with a boat that I recently purchased. The problem is that the previous owner didn't have any of the cables or harness hooked up to it.

Does anyone have a picture of or can tell me specifically where the battery connections are on this motor?

I'm also looking for a set of controls. The ones I have seem to be backwards (i.e. full throttle on the control is idle on the engine).

Any help would be appreciated.

Some controls are reversable which control do you have.

I'm not sure on the exact one. All I remember is that it's by Quicksilver. I'll check this weekend when I get back to the boat (in storage right now).
