85 hp cdi motor trigger

It may sound dumb but where is the trigger and what does it look like.Im new to force engines,and i dont have a clue what to look for.

The trigger is a shallow aluminum cylinder that sits under the flywheel. A lever sticks out the front and is attached to the timing tower rod. The trigger is actually three separate coils (one for each cylinder) housed in the aluminum piece. A magnet in the center of the flywheel passes the coils and generates a small electric current. This signals the CD box to fire the spark plug coil.

You must remove the flywheel to remove the trigger assembly but it can be tested in place.

The same aluminum carrier is used for 2, 3, and 4 cylinder engines with the trigger coils placed appropriately and potted in place with epoxy.
