'85 Honda 7.5 oil in pee stream

A buddy of mine says he has oil mixed with the water coming out of the pee stream yet the motor seems to run fine. Is this possible? Could it be a simple fix, like a bad gasket? I'm not sure how much oil he's talking about but he can see a sheen behind his boat. Looking for suggestions and guidance.

Could this be the result in laying the motor on it's back or the wrong side, while being trucked to the boat? Forgot to say it's a 4 stroke motor.

Most of the time a sheen behind the boat is caused by fuel and not oil. Ive never heard of oil in the indicator stream. Usually if there is a crack in the head or bad seal the water would enter the oil in the oil pan. If the oil is not saturated with water and turning a milky color i would believe more that it is fuel. With a motor that old, has it ever has a valve adjustment? Its pretty easy to do on that motor. Also check the timing and put new plugs in it.

There is water in the oil reservoir. The oil is grayish in color. I have the motor in my shop now and am trying to get the powerhead out. I have removed 7 bolts, 2 on each side, and 3 from the bottom. Powerhead seems stuck hard and I don't find anymore bolts. I want to remove the oil fill piece (plastic block) because the plastic block also has a water hose on it. Can't remove the oil fill piece without removing the powerhead. I'm thinking there may be a crack or bad seal behind that plastic block.

I have removed the powerhead so I could check the spaghetti seal behind the plastic block for the oil fill and found it to be fine with no signs of a crack or anyway for water to get in there. My conclusion here is condensation formed in the oil reservoir by running a hot motor in cold water (47'). The motor was running a bit hot because of a partially plugged impeller housing. I know that it takes very little water to make oil turn color and after draining the old oil out and looking at it closely, I believe condensation caused the problem but am still open to suggestions.
