85 Force 50hp Fuel pump diaphragm tear

After checking my ign electrical as to why my 50hp Force wouldn't idle good, I tested the fuel pressure. Primed good, but no flow when cranking. i pulled the fuel pump cover and saw the diaphragm was torn! I am ordering new parts and I was wondering if when changing the diaphragm, it is necessary to change the 1 way valves in the cover? They look good and the one i can check works good. 1 is screw set in, but the others appear pressed in??? there are 3 in the cover. Any help is appreciated-

You can buy a fuel pump kit that has the valves included. They are not very expensive. If you have not replaced the valves lately or have any doubt I?d fit the kit to the pump.
