Hey there zip lure. Welcome to iboats.

50:1 on the fuel

That works out to 2.6 ounces or TC-W3 oil for each gallon of gas.

Or 16 ounces for each 6 gallons of gas.

Is this the same for all outboards, haven't seen one that isn't yet?

Some are oil injected, 4 strokes don't get any,
older (pre 1964???) are mixed at 24:1 or 16:1.

In the mid 80's some manufacturers tried 100:1, but quickly
recinded that and went back to 50:1.

So yes, most 2 stroke outboards from the mid sixties to present use the 50:1 ratio.

I don't know if this applies to your motor but, on my '70 Chrysler the break in is 24-1 for 3 hours(in big letters in owner's manual). This also applies if the motor hasn't been run in more than a year.
Roscoe, got a question. Got a 9 gallon tank from Overtons. I think 50-1 comes out to 24 oz. What if I just put 1 quart in the tank.

If you put in a full quart, you are using (wasting) an extra 33% .
You will be running heavy on the oil which can make starting more difficult, foul your plugs, and cause extra carbon buildup in your engine which can cause sticking rings and loss of compression, which causes even further problems.

Why not just buy a plastic 6 gallon gas can and mix your gas in it, then transfer it to the builtin tank as needed. This way you will never have to guess on how much oil to add when you only top off the tank with a couple gallons of fuel.

1 quart will mix 9 gallons at 36 to 1. 24 ounces would be 48 to 1. I dont know about your chrysler but mince is real sensitive about the fuel to oil mixture. When i have mixed my 6 gallon tank with an ounce or two too much oil it gives me grief at idle.
