1984 Mercury 115 hp O/B, we replaced a power pack, had it running good at low speed. If we opened it up it would run full speed for about 30 sec. then the RPMs would drop back to about half speed. (The tack wasn't working then) we rebult the fuel pump, put a new tack on it now it is gettig to much fuel. It don't want to idle, wide open the rpms drops up and down.
the tach must be wired wrong it will read over 7000 rpm W/O. anyone have an ideal what I should try?
