Anyone know the best place to purchase an aftermarket CDI for a '83 Suzuki DT25? Or know someone who might have one for sale? I've tried everything else & I've recently been quoted $357 for an OEM CDI. This seems a bit excessive.

Thanks,

r -

this may or may not be a help.

i have a 200hp 87 suzuki that wasn't running real well when i bought it. on the v6's it seems that if some of the sensors/interlocks "trip" it will default to killing 1/2 the cylinders.

don't recall the exact sensor/interlock on mine but i cleared the problem and the cdi was fine. i've spoken to several suzuki tech's and they feel the cdi is "bulletproof" and yes it expensive.

try brown's point in newe jersey - sometime they'll discount

If you're not in a hurry try eBay. They have an amazing assortment of outboard parts on their auctions. I'd be willing to bet you'll find one if you check regularly over a couple of months.
