this may or may not be a help.<br /><br />i have a 200hp 87 suzuki that wasn't running real well when i bought it. on the v6's it seems that if some of the sensors/interlocks "trip" it will default to killing 1/2 the cylinders.<br /><br />don't recall the exact sensor/interlock on mine but i cleared the problem and the cdi was fine. i've spoken to several suzuki tech's and they feel the cdi is "bulletproof" and yes it expensive. <br /><br />try brown's point in newe jersey - sometime they'll discount
