I took my Fathers 1983 Mercury 25hp. To our local mercury shop wanting to get electric put on it for him. I dropped it off and 2 days later the mechanic calls me and tells me that you can't get electric start for that year??!!?? Does that make any sense to any of you??? Is this true or is he just trying to get out of the price that he quoted me at first to put it on??? If any one here knows anything about this please Redpond. Dad's motor is like the day it came out of the factory and he loves it. I just wanted to make it start a little easier for him with out having to get a different one.<br /><br />
