83 mariner 115 slow speed rough

Just put a 115 on my astroglass 178v f&s - all is well, runs strong, idles great, planes in a flash, main question when just puttering around at about 1800 - 1900 rpm there is a shutter which is pretty strong, less rpms nothing and more nothing. Any clues?

Are you sure is an '83? How many cylinders does it have. <br /><br />Assuming it is an '83, you may need to go through the link and synch process and clean the carbs.<br /><br />For starters reset the idle needles by the book.<br /><br />-W

the serial # is 6411494 and a 6 cly - if i am wrong on the year please let me know - thanks
