I know I should just buy a manual, but this is one of like only 5 things left to do before I'm water-bound. I'm wondering what the torque specs are for all the bolts that hold the lower unit to the exhaust housing. I'm gonna put some rtv on the contact area, and dip all the bolts in loctite blue. I just need the torque rate for the four outer bolts, the short one under the plate, the one holding on the plate, and the large center one. Thanks.

RTV ? and locktite? Those are stainless steel bolts and usually all have a lock washer. Whenever I have done a lower unit I make sure the bolts are clean and free from everything (clean and dry)..... I never used sealant or locktite which could cause fure problems. Those bolts go into aluminum which is fairly soft.

I use a standard wrench and make sure they are tight and even. I do tighten in a x pattern and just make sure they are tight.
