I have an 82 evinrude 15 horse that needed a tiller handle, so I came across an 1987 15 horse with a tiller handle. Is it possible to take the handle from the 87 and put it on the 82?? My 82 does not have the cable "setup" where as the 87 does. My 82 has more of a gear. If not for the handle the two motors look almost identical. If the swap can happen, "for someone who is moderatly mechanically inclined" how difficult would this be?
