Hello Mallard and :welcome: to iBoats....

Do you have a test light or multimeter? To troubleshoot this problem, it would be helpful to have either one of those items.

The first thing to do is establish that you have power from the battery to the engine. Connect the test light to the engine block and touch the red lead coming from the battery. The light should come on... If not, check the battery negative cable to the engine block....

There may also be a fuse in the red power wire that goes to the control box. If you have one, also check that...

Power to solenoid. Nothing across poles when key is turned. Bad solenoid?

Might be, might not be... There will be 2 small wires on the solenoid, one black (ground) the other yellow/red. With the key in the START position, you should see power across those wires....
