I have an older 150 black max that has sat for about a year because the power trim motor was out . got that fixed but now it wont pee, it has a new impeller. and seams to pump water fine as it keeps the motor at temp and puts out hot water at the lower unit, it just wont pee.

A lot of those V6 motors have no telltale until the thermostats open. You might check the 'stats.

Have you ran a small piece of weedeater string up the "P" hole to see if blocked? What year motor exactly as the early models the "P" indicator came off the adapter plate..

I met a guy once that had a 225 and picked up an ice bag going across the lake; cost him a new powerhead. Sold me on the idea of a water pressure gauge as I had the same no pea problem on my '84 Black Max. They're inexpensive and indispensable - you don't have to strain looking over your shoulder to KNOW what's going on.
I now have a '72 Johnson and there isn't much to see even if you could (out the exhaust ports). Solution? water pressure gauge..... it will let you know of the condition of your impeller and cooling system, also. I'm happy!!! :D

I cleaned the lines out and that is not the problem. It does pump water as I took off the hoes to the head and is has good water pressure there.
