would any body have the part number for the 60 amp heavyduty porcalin fuse (altanater).it is located under a plastic cover on the starboard side of the motor.she be toast, the metal connecter is gone and thats why the motor will not charge.is this type of fuse even avalible any more?my own limited theory points me to getting a heavy duty in line glass fuse if possible and soldering it in place of the old style ,with obviously one wire on each side of the new fuse holder.sound ok?its a 1966 elect johnson 80hp.

never mind ,finding one of those fuses will be ny near next to impossible.went to the local parts joint and got a maxi heavy duty block fuse holder and 2 60 amp plug in fuses.hooked up pretty easily.also had a can of paint come in today to paint the lower unit as it is pretty bare .moeller makes the exact color in case anybody wants to know.so i guess after lunch its time to sand the metal and prime with zinc chromemate primer first.
