Like a kid I saw once in Lake Simcoe during a storm. Anyone that has boated Simcoe knows how rough it can get. The kid was out in a zodiac and had to tie himself to the vessel to keep from getting thrown out in the waves. Tried to get him aboard but looked at me like Im crazy for missing out on the fun, lol.
looks like a E service runabout. they had v8 engines in them and they ran with that style ride. Yes a little more ooomph then way back when but boy I think it was well done..
Maybe somebody from NJ will chime in soon, but I would bet that he races that a regular basis. I'm pretty sure the outlaws in south jersey get up near 90-100mph on the straights during a race with 2-3 boats wide. All second hand info here, but it came from a reliable source.
check out these sites, 104MPH is not unusual for these boats. If you check out some of the videos you should see them in a corner, side by side. In the APBA they run a 283, outside of the APBA I think anything they can afford to put in the boat is OK.
Well you've got to give the guy credit: More balls than brains. With the way that thing was riding I'd have shut it down right away, but he kept on going. one can only wish he knew what he was doing....
I'll stick to my evinrude 110 thanks. I can't figure out how he can see where he's going with all that bucking and bouncing. Doesn't look fun...........I must be getting old...............
