8 HP Nissan

Just purchased 1998 OB that was left with lower end in the water for a period of time, long enough the corrode the housing and prop. Removed prop, dressed and painted lower end. Cranked it up but could not get it to idle. Blew out shells, sand and barnacles but not pissing much. How should I go about cleaning out and changing impeller. I have very little info on this unit.

Thanks. That sounds like the right approach. She runs OK, so I'll assume the engine is good.
