What we do with a Eska is stand it on its head and shoot PB blaster through the exhaust relief holes and on to the shaft letting it set and repeating for a couple days then tap the lower off with a dead blow hammer, you may want to remove the cowl or hood...depends on the model.
I would also drain the lower unit before I got started.
