79 Johnson 115 still stalls

Johnson 115hp. model#115TL79R still stalls when I throw it in gear. I have rebuilt both carbs and checked for any electrical shorts.It acts like its loading up when idleing,then when I throw the throttle down to take off it dies.

popr,<br /><br />Did you set the "synch and link" according to the manual?<br /><br />Also, watch to see that the timing is advancing when you open the throttle. Sometimes the plate under the flywheel does not want to move freely.

I have not checked the plate under the fly wheel. If that be the case,how would I correct this?

Remove the flywheel and lube it.

I pulled the flywheel and cleaned and lubed under it. The linkage goin under the flywheel seems to be a bit sluggish. I cleaned around the sping and lubed it. Is there any adjustment to that linkage assemble that would make it respond quicker when I throttle up?
