79 Glastron W/ Merc 165 Question

I am looking at a 79 Glastron with a merc 165, Motor was rebuilt last year but it needs a new Trim Pump (I am new to this but understand this moves the motor up & down) From what I can figure these cost anywhere from 350 to 450 bucks but how hard are they to install? And for the price of 1700.00 Would it be worth making this fix (interior is not bad, gel coat is ok) <br /><br />I was looking at spending 3000 so this sounds like a great deal<br /><br />Can you help out a newbie ? Thanks

Do you know how many boats I have looked at where I was told the motor was rebuilt last year? Check the motor. Ask if they have the reciepts. Will they let you do a compression test? Also your taking a chance on the outdrive. Do you know someone who can check these things for you. Its getting old but if it was kept in good shape the price is fair
