79 black max 175 (1750) electric fuel pump

I had an idea today. Don't tell the wife....... On fuel delivery, to replace a worn fuel pump, could you not just put in an electric fuel pump. The limiting factory would be not to overload the needle valve in the carb bowl. Right? If it were a low pressure pump, would it work?

Why don't you just rebuild your fuel pump? But to answer your question, yes it will work. I had a holley redtop on my 83 Merc until I found a rebuildable pump.
