I have a 79 35hp evinrude tiller and can't seem to get the linc & sync done properly. I have to turn the idle speed screw a fair bit without the spring on there to idle in gear. I believe the problem is in the adjustment to the linkage from the vertical throttle shaft from the tiller to the cam follower. It appears it's been adjusted many times by the marks on the shaft, does anybody have the measurement of this linkage or how to set it? The manual I have does not show any of this stuff. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
