78 Merc 700 T-Bolt

Hey guys Im new to the whole boating thing and I need some help. I just restored a 89 Sunbird and picked up a motor for it a 78 Merc 700, However im running the steering and need to figure out where to get the steering/ tilt tube for it? Mine seems to have a long bolt through it that's solid. Sorry if it makes no sense. Any help is appreciated.

Is it a 3 or 6 cylinder????

Sorry its a 3 cylinder. I found this part # 99170A seems to be what Im looking for but Im not sure.
