the power trim on my 1978 Evinrude 85hp V4 is non functional. It has never worked in the 2 years I have had the motor. I am a motorcycle guy, not an outboard guy, but with some your help I might be able to figure this out.
The solenoid clicks when I try to use the power trim. That is where the excitement stops.
Any tips on where to start? My guess would be the electric motor, but I have no idea what to test / clean / fix. Any tips?
