Have you done a link n sync? Also, check the fuel pump if you haven't already. If you have a bad fuel pump it would explain why it won't go very fast as it isn't able to suck enough fuel

I can look into the fuel pump possibility but I never acutely took the carbs off just took out low speed screw and high speed access on carb and blasted it with carb cleaner but just incase how do I link n sink? Also every thing I find on my moter say it has one file pump but mine has two slightly smaller pumps on my block and filters located on the carbs on top of where the float is. I can't take any pics but my gas line comes in the cover goes to the top pump two lines come out one to the bottom pump one to my carbs bottom pump has one out going to my carbs.:noidea:

You might check serial number, as a 1977 1150 has a single fuel pump, located on the lower cowling, just behind the quick connect fuel line. There are SS screens in the top of the carb, but no banjo-style filters. Your motor sounds like an older model.

Check your spark plug leads for arcing to ground. Have someone pup the primer while trying to accelerate. If that fixes it, the fuel pump is suspect.

The year is throwing me off a bit, two fuel pumps doesn't seem like a '77... What's the serial number?

Sorry it took so long for me to reply I don't have my own internet connection. Fule pumps are good I replaced them out of spite lol. Made no difference squeeze the primer bulb makes no difference. The carbs seem to be flooding but if I turn low adjusters in anymore the motor won't stay running.
