'77 Merc 850 Can I fit temp gauge?

Finally I have found a site that draws the expertise of millions of fellow travelers.<br /><br />I am trying to fit a temp gauge to the outboard.<br />The head has an outlet for a pisser but I am worried I could create an airlock by fitting a senser and blocking the hole. Anybody have any other suggestions?<br /><br />Booka

booka <br /><br />Are you wanting to install a "Temp" Gauge or a "Pressure" Gauge? With a temp gauge you will either have a small threaded hole on the back of the cylinder head or you can mount a bracket the holds the sensor against the head to sense the temp. of the motor.
