Would I gain any Performance by putting the leg and exhaust plate from an 81 200 BM on my 175. Thanks.

If you could the answer would be no.. The 1977/78 175hp blocks have a different exhaust passage design than the 200hp(pic 2). It is larger and exhaust plate is different also.(see pic 1). What type of boat???

I was machining new bushings for the swivel bracket and solid motor mounts and saw the leg sitting in the corner and thought I'd ask. Thanks for the answer.

That a quick lil hull ,one of the best in the Skeeter series in my opinion!! The problem is your engine is powerhead rated,not prop rated so you only got a good breathing 150. You could do the following:
1) change tuner (200)
2) install 200 divider plate
3) install XR2 advance box
4) install the 200 carbs (WH-29's) and drop jets 2 sizes, this will also improve the air flow as choke butterflys will disappear and better starting due to enrichner
5) 6-8 inch jackplate

These bolt on's will get you up to about 165hp at prop and playing wth props and heights will get you 3-8 mph and about 600 rpm..
