i will try to explain everything in detail. last week when runnung at night i ran on a sandbar. After walking the boat off, making sure i had nothing in the cooling system, i returned to the river. Shortly afterwards, the boat ran hot. WHOOPS. I rechecked the water lines and diconected the pee line and blew out about a 1/4 cup of sand. I restarted the motor, ideled it for about 5 min. and went back to running it. It ran just fine. Ever since that night i cannot get it to run without priming manually by spraying mixed fuel into the carbs. One it starts it runs fine, but if i shut it off for more than 3 or 4 min., i have to mannaully prime it again. Heres what i have done, replaced plugs, bypassed the fuel pump(just for a temporary, i am using a low pressure electric pump to insure the carbs are getting fuel), removed the carbs and cleaned them (not rebuilt). I have an electric choke that closes the butterflies all the way.

Is there a possibility that when i overheated the engine i may have blew the headgasket and now the vaccume is not there to pull the fuel into the cylinders? Also once the engine is running, the pee line is not constant, it pee than stops, pees then stops. Is this a problem with the impeller?

Thanks for all your suggestions.

Sorry, its a 77 115 model 115793S
