well, we found out why the lower end was just clicking and wouldn't go completely into reverse.
The shift cable mounts to an arm that is just a mount and pivot. There is a linkage that goes between this arm to the forward part of the engine and connects to the actual shift arm. This linkage is forked on each end and mounts with a pin through the entire mess at each end and secured with a cotter pin.
the end where the shift cable mounts (rear) the fork is broken on the inside, and when you attempt to shift into reverse the fork flexes and no reverse.
Anyone have any ideas on where to acquire this forked linkage part?
Any help is appreciated.
