77 evinrude 35hp 35752c lower removal

New to this,first boat and motor, water pump not working. removed four bolts and one nut on the lower, wont come off. Shifter linkage? Pin bu car or what, been reading. Cant get it, need help thanks in advance

Remove the oval plate (#13) on exhaust housing to access the shift linkage.
Remove the lower screw to disconnect.

Ok, Ill try that. Does the screw come all the way out. What about when i put the lower back on, any realignment issues?

Jasper, Thanks got it off and water pump replaced. Question, it did not look like there was a gasket between the lower and upper? Is there? aliment....
