I would like to replace the gasket that sits between the plastic fuel pump inlet cover and filter screen, but neither of my manuals (Mercury & Clymer,) nor the on-line look ups (sierra, mercruiserparts.com, dougrussell.com) show this type of pump.

They all show a triangular pump body like this. Any idea where I am going wrong and how I can find the correct fuel pump kit?

BTW: This photo is not my motor - I borrowed the picture from ebay, but mine is the same.

Thank you
Shaun

I finally figured this out - from the front, the pump base looks rectangular, but on the back where it attaches to the block it is actually triangular!! The photos in the manual show the back and where taken from an angle that hides the one square corner!

Boy do I feel dumb:$
