Hi all, I have a new to me 1976 75hp Stinger. It idles fine, will idle in gear, but when I advance the throttle it just bogs down and dies. Compression and spark are good. Spark advances before carbs open. I did pull the carbs and cleaned them by shooting carb cleaner thru them but did not do a real rebuild. Probably need to do a full carb rebuilds or should I look elsewhere?

There are no adjustments to make other than the floats, the carbs need to be cleaned.

Will order the carb kits. It was running really nice in the test tank, was hoping I could get away with just a quick spray clean. I heard about changing the HS jets in these carbs to help acceleration. Any thoughts on that? Also what's a suggested chemical for the soak? Thanks

There were tech bulletins on a few years of these motors for changes to improve a few things, you'll need to look them up with your model and serial #

But I don't think it's run like this since new, so it needs some attention either way.
