I have a 75 Mercury outboard motor. I beleive it is a 7.5 Hp. About 1974 serial #3933403. The kill switch is missing. Question 1 - Where can I get a new switch? Question 2 - Does it ground to run or does it ground to kill?

Goto the BAM Marine site for purchase, you will need the serial number for the part or the other answer.

No info from BAM. I believe I have found a replacement stop switch but I would like to see the motor run before putting $90 in to the new switch.
So will it run with out the stop switch? (I will have to do some additional repairs before I can even attempt to start it.)

I think the ground kills it. In a pinch you can hook up any toggle switch that runs to ground.
