I am looking at a 75 hp Johnson electric sea horse motor that I might buy, but it has a couple of problems with it. I believe it is a mid 70's model. It is a model V45L3C. For starters it tries to go into reverse, but will not go in all the way. Owner said local mechanic believes it to be an easy fix because the gears are easy to get to. Not sure what that means. Also he says it runs good until you put the hood on then it is starved for air. I am not to familiar with the electric sea horse, only have owned a 50 hp plain jane johnson in the past.
