'75 135 Evinrude fuel-oil ratio

I am considering buying a '73 Glastron with a '75 135 Evinrude hanging on the back. It is having a fuel/starting problem. Can you help me with the correct fuel-oil mixture? Any input on this engine appreciated!<br /><br /> Thanks!

Curtis.... The fuel/oil ratio is 50/1 (1pt 50/1 oil to 6gal 87 octane gasoline). Pertaining to any additional advice, I suggest you have the owner give you a trial run in the water before making the purchase, and/or have the engine checked out by a reliable marine (outboard) mechanic.<br /><br />Check back in with any found problems and we'll see what we can do for you.
