Well, I acquired a SuperSport this Fall and am looking forward to splashing it this Spring in the Chesapeake Bay.
Although it's in fantastic condition, I will opt to rebuild her as opposed to "restoring" her.
I plan to remove the cushions in the bow and install a full casting platform. I will remove the back to back ski seat, replace the deck and then install a couple of Captain's chairs.
"Function over Form".
This will be entirely built to be a fishing sled. I don't ski.
(The outriggers, I installed this weekend.)

Keep us posted Gregg. I'd like to see what you do with it. What area of the bay are you gonna be running around in?

I'll be running the boat (close to my home) out of Solomon's Island, MD and the Bay Bridge / Sandy Point area.
I'll also be running out of (near my families place) the Lancaster Couty, VA area on the lower Bay.
Well, come to think of it, I'll also run it out of Indian River Inlet (near my wifes familes place).
(I guess I'll cover Del/Mar/Va area. That's the beauty of a trailerable boat. Right?)

Know the area well. Grew up in North Beach on the other end of Calvert County. Spent a good bit of time flyfishin stripers just out of SI and worked charter boats out of Chesapeake Beach in the 60's. Maybe we'll bump into each other this summer.

I'm jealous. That's exactly the boat I want for my next one. I love my Starcraft boat closed bow is just a colossal waste of space.

Well EZmobee,
It bopthers me more than you know that you are jealous or envious of my boat.
If it will make you feel any better, I will allow you to work on my boat as if it were your own (read "no pay").
The next time you feel that sense of jealousy coming over you, shoot me a PM and I'll let you come by and relace the deck or replace my steering or work on the outboard or install the forward casting platform or rebuild the consoles or...........
Any time you like,
Gregg
