Hey guys. My brother-in-law has a 1974 115 Merc. It was professionally rebuilt, but hasn't been run since. We are going to put it on our center console project boat, which used to have a similar vintage 115 merc on it, so the mounting holes line right up. My question is this- how well do the distributor and rotor equipped straight 6 mercs run compared to the newer model CDI inline 6 mercs??? I had an 81' 115 and it ran like a champ. What are the differences??? Thanks.
