ok could somebody please tell me if my 73 90 hp johnson seahorse outboard has an alternator on it? if not can i put one on and what degree of dificulty would it be for somebody not very mechanically inclined?

Don't think that OMC made a 90HP in 1973. Have you got a model number or a picture?

currently no but i can get one this week. it's a johnson seahorse says 90 hp on the side pretty sure but i know that those are interchangeable could possibly be a 72 like the boat but not sure. I guess when I get more info on the motor itself i will re post

Unless you are WAY off on the year and horsepower, it has an alternator.
