My 1973 Johnson 65hp won't get up to the correct WOT RPM. All electronics are good. Stator, Timer Base, Coils, and Powerpack all test good and so does the tach. I have done just about all I can think of. I am getting spark (bright blue)to all cylinders and the carbs are the cleanest carbs I have ever owned. 120 to 125 PSI on compression check all 3 cyl. I pulled the new 15 pitch prop off and put a 17 pitch on and the motor runs better but the rpm wont go over 3500. The motor never gained full RPM ever since I changed prop brands to turningpoint a couple years ago. My old props had thinner/smaller blades and were way lighter than the newer turning points. I have ran the 17 pitch prop on this boat since the mid 90's and always obtained 5100RPM. Could these thicker props be my problem? I am about to purchase a new prop to see if that helps. The boat is not saturated either. Just finished a overhaul of the the hull.
