Just bought a boat with 72 Evinrude 65 hp motor. The motor sat for 2 years. I changed fuel, spark plugs, and put a new fuel pump in. Motor idles much better now with new fuel pump. When i first get to lake it runs at full throttle for a minute or two, then it bogs down. For the rest of the trip it will only run at slow speed. We tried to clean carbs with B-12 while running in full throttle. When sprayed in the top carb, the engine would increase back to top speed momentarily. It was as if the top carb was not getting any fuel, therefore it was using the carb cleaner instead. Is this a problem with the needle not allowing fuel into the float bowl or maybe a clogged highspeed orifice? Or something else? I'm losing patience with trying to get it runnin myself. So i'm about to spend money, I dont have, having a marine shop repair it. Thank you in advance for any help you all may have.
