I have isolated my starting problems down to the starter solenoid. Of course, now I need to remove the solenoid... Any suggestions on an easy way to get it in/out. I unbolted the two bolts holding it in but cannot jimmy it out of the tight fitting space it rests in underneith the starter. The easiest way to remove it looks like it would entail taking the starter mounting bracket off, of course this entails taking off a few other parts to... Any shortcuts or suggestions? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Ok, for those who might find this thread later and who have the same question. After much fiddling, I found I could simply remove the wiring harness that attaches all the wiring to the boat, both on the outside of the motor and then on the inside. Doing this I only had to remove 2 bolts, and it was much simpler than removing the starter. Once this bulky item was out of the way the solenoid slipped right out. Now all I have to do is get the new one in tomorrow.
