71' Evinrude 18 HP loose steering

Does anyone know how to tighten up the steering on my Evinrude? I can't find any adjustment feature. During trolling, I have to hold the steering arm constantly or it will turn where I don't want it too. Thanks

Hunker down and peer in between the clampscrews, right above the transom. See that screw looking back at you? That is the co-pilot (friction) screw. Screw it in to tighten. If it still works after all these years.
