71 120 hp --dad and I --need --- electrical help

our 71 starcraft fib/120hp mercruiser project boat is now in the boat!!!!..None of the wires were marked,, can anyone help with wiring diagrams for this (serial=2731030) PROJECT.. THE ALTERNATOR HAS A RED/WHITE STRIPE --we have the pin connecter plugged in...hah !! there are some wires that need a home ??? if you can help we would thank ya !! ..we (dad and I ) are trying to put a basket case boat back together..We both have the (c) word and this is keeping us busy..ill check this post in a bit

Click here for a link to the service manual for your engine and drive. It has all the wiring diagrams for engine, trim, and instruments.

sir, can you suggest the best way to look at the manual.. i would like to put it on a cd so i can look at it while i am working on the engine ..i have a dell pc with a pentium 4 and XP. It is pretty full up so i have to figure out a way to download it so as not to take up too much space,,, thanks

Just have a blank in your cd drive, and save it to D: drive, or whatever you cd drive is.

Save it to a memory card or flash drive(usb). I have mine saved to an external hd. The CD might get scratched or damaged. If you do it to a cd make 2 so you can file one.

The first thing you do is save it to your computer instead of just opening it.
Then at your leisure, save it to CD, Flash drive or whatever.
